2/23/08: Lakeview Terrace is the only neighborhood float to participate in Magic Hat’s Mardi Gras parade. So what makes them so special? This year we talked to the funky Lakeview Terrace neighbors about their Dr. Seuss float and why they work so hard to dress up and throw beads at adoring crowds. Once again, they won the 1st place prize even though they were piecing their float together 3 hours prior to the parade. All that and they get a lake view?! Sheesh. I overcame my terrible fear of clowns to watch this. Yay! Looks fun and reminds me of the floats we used to have when I was a kid back in the ol’ village. I think the thing I love most about your videos is that you show how you can set up and be a part of an art community that isn’t at all cliquey or insular. Art for all! Yay again!
